Gabriel Jesús Sarmiento, a 25 -year -old Venezuelan digital influencer, was murdered during a broadcast on the social network Tiktokat dawn on Monday (23).
Local press reports point out that at least two gunmen broke into the youth’s residence, located in the city of El Piñonal, in the center of Venezuela, and began shots while the influencer’s audience followed a live programming on his channel.
The crime happened shortly after Sarmiento made a series of public complaints against members of the criminal gangs Tren de Aragua and El Tren del Llano, citing an alleged bond of criminals with the Venezuelan police.
The influencer reported to followers that he was receiving constant threats from the Aragua Tren, citing the leader of the criminal organization “Niño Guerrero”, and called for protection from the authorities.
In the video, his mother appears screaming and the influencer sends a rescue request to Venezuela’s intelligence services (Sebin), with his exact address, but is surprised by criminals invading his home without receiving any help.
