According to the newspaper, the young people of that generation suffer from the so -called “technological nostalgia”. In addition, they would be tired of the various social networks present on modern devices, seeking to move away from the virtual world without, however, being totally offline.
And that is exactly what the BLACKBERRY BBM application allows. This functionality enables the exchange of messages only among the acquaintances who shared their pins with each other. The old phone can still be used to listen to music, access simple games and get on the internet.
The new fashion is already quite popular in Canada, the United States and in European countries. And gradually it has also arrived in Brazil. A Brazilian Tiktok profile, for example, posted a video showing the use of a BlackBerry in 2025. The publication already has over 841,000 views.
