Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Tuesday that “several financial institutions” began to circumvent the Tax on Financial Operations (IOF) and the government “closed the door”.

Asked about resistance within Congress to Provisional Measure (MP) 1.303/2025, Haddad said that, upon negotiation, the farm has approved in the legislature “virtually all measures” it forwards.
