Title: Handy stand/magsafe
Review: I had a clear case before this one for my iPhone 16 pro. The magnet was weak that my phone would always drop of a MagSafe charger. It also had one of those cut outs for the camera button, so I was ready to try something new and gave this a try. I do love the case. The built in stand comes in handy. It has makes a slight clicky noise when you rotate it. It holds the angle well. The small downside might be that a really strong MagSafe magnet would require you to rip the phone off. This sometimes takes two hands as the phone itself will pull away, but the ring stand would bend off the case, so you’d use two hands to pull off at the hinge so it doesn’t snap off or damage the whole thing. I don’t have that problem with the charging MagSafe devices. Only my solo MagSafe mount that’s used for clipping to the airline tray, or in my case my desk.The thing I like is that the overlayed camera button on the case is responsive and soooo much easier to click on than the cutout cases. I always felt like the edges of the cutout cases made it harder for me to push in. Being that this one is flush, it’s so much easier to push. It still takes the same amount of force to activate.The other thing I like is that it has raised edges in the back on the sides and corners in the front. The only reason I dropped the stars is that I feel the raised corners in the front are two shallow. One drop and my screen protector cracked. The raised edge doesn’t seem to take a screen protector into its calculation. So I’m now on my 2nd glass screen protector since I got the case a month and a half ago.

Title: Simply AWESOME!!
Review: When iPhone 16 was announced and I knew I’d be preordering one, I made sure I’d have two things on hand the moment the phone arrived. A good quality case and a good quality screen protector. Only at that time, it didn’t dawn on me that most case manufacturers would simply leave a cutout for the Camera Capture Button, so my first two cases didn’t even consider this feature of the new iPhone. Since then, I have purchased 3 other cases, which do include a Camera Capture Button, but only one of them was decent, in my humble opinion. One of them was the official clear case from Apple itself, which cost $50. While it’s a well made case, it doesn’t provide protection completely around the phone, so it’s just sitting in it’s box and is unused. The other case I have been using is from a well known manufacturer and it’s actually been a good case and it does have a Capture Button, but after just 6 months, it has already started to yellow around the sides and it doesn’t offer a stand option.Enter this case from MAGIC JOHN. This is a brand I wasn’t familiar with, but is one worth remembering. The case comes nicely packaged and is inside a plastic sleeve in the durable box. I would say, I would have preferred MAGIC JOHN to have placed a removable plastic cover on the inside and outside of the case, but not many actually do that. The case itself was completely dust, smudge and scratch free and that’s all that really matters to me anyway.In the sense of materials, they are quality materials. The back of the case is Polycarbonate and the sides are TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), but MAGIC JOHN claims the case is finished in an electroplated coating, anti-oxidation coating, and a Nano Oleophobic layer. They say the materials are more premium than lesser quality cases and it features advanced anti-yellowing technology. Only time will tell on that one. But it does feel VERY premium.The fit of the case around my iPhone 16 Pro Max is PERFECT. The buttons are nice and clicky and take a purposeful push to engage them. I’ve had cases where the buttons were just too soft and too easily engaged. These buttons require a real push and that’s far preferable to soft push buttons. Of course, the case has a raised lip on the front of the iPhone to protect it from scratches if placed face down. And the camera bump goes above the cameras to ensure they are well protected. Gripping the case is nice and grippy on the sides as well, so there’s no sense it might slip out of your hand when holding it.The two stars of the show, however, are the Camera Capture Button and the adjustable MagSafe Stand built into the case. The Camera Capture Button is made of Sapphire glass, just like the glass Apple uses in their cases and it works exactly the same as the naked capture button would work. Only there’s no indent for your finger to get in the way of using the button. Trust me, if you don’t own a case with a Camera Capture Button built in, you just don’t know what you’re missing. It protects the button and the case seamlessly protects the entire outside of the phone. The All Aluminum MagSafe Stand is really well made. It rotates 360 degrees, yet when extended out, it lets you prop your phone up either in Landscape or Portrait orientation. It’s also completely flat when closed. With some other cases I’ve seen, the stand is raised which isn’t a smart design. The MagSafe ring is comprised of 48 N56 neodymium super magnets. When you attach it to a MagSafe charger, it attaches SOLIDLY. Finally, MAGIC JOHN said when you attach it, you should wait 10-15 seconds to see the charging animation. That wasn’t my experience. The charging animation appeared immediately.A final note. I like Belt Clip Cases from Encased and have attached a photo of this case on my 16 Pro Max in my Encased case and it’s a perfect fit. It really is a great way to protect your cased iPhone when it’s not in use.There you have it. This case from MAGIC JOHN, may be my first experience with them, but I’m sure it won’t be my last. It’s exceptionally well made of high quality materials, with great grip, clicky controls, the Camera Capture Button and a well made MagSafe rotating stand. There’s just nothing more you could want or need from an iPhone case and I think at $30 is an exceptional value. Sure you can pay less for a case, but it won’t be nearly as great as this case is. Just buy one. You won’t regret it.

Title: I want to trade cases with my son (iPhone 16 ProMax)
Review: It was time to get my son a new phone, which ment a new case. I like his case, I like his case better than my case, I want his case…. My son likes his case and doesn’t want to give it up. His old phone case was just a case, no built in stand. The case I currently have on my phone has an arm that swings out, isn’t adjustable, and the Camera Capture Button is just a cut out.This case by Magic John is MUCH better than what I have been using! My son really likes the stand and how adjustable it is. He has used it vertically while FaceTiming friends and horizontally watching videos. I like how it is more stable than my case, especially on softer surfaces like our couch. This case had no problems standing up, while that other case would tip over because the arm didn’t provide enough support.The Camera Capture Button feature of this case works sooooo much better than the cut-out on my case (another reason why I want to trade cases with my son). With the cut-out, I have difficulty even using the Camera Capture Button and tend not to use this feature due to the cut-out! The Magic John’s Camera Capture Button feels like the original….like I’m using the phone without a case. It was easy to use, feels natural to use, and plain works.I was a bit leary seeing a case with a kickstand ring right where the magnetic wireless charging attaches, but it charges without issue.Magic John will be on my list for future purchases. Two thumbs up.
