Maduro summons a summit for peace to “denuclearize” Israel

Venezuela dictator Nicolás Maduro, leader of one of the most oppressive regimes in the world and ally of belligerent dictatorships such as Russia and Iran, summoned a dome for peace to ask for the end of hostilities in the Middle East – but with a very clear bias.

On Monday (23), Maduro proposed the realization of the great world summit for peace and against war on its television program, with Maduro+.

“This idea represents our Bolivarian balance of balance in the world and respect for international law that guarantees peace,” said Maduro, according to Radio Miraflores.

“The Jewish people in Israel and in the rest of the world want coexistence; that harmony be restored. They are against the warfare [premiê de Israel, Benjamin] Netanyahu, ”he said.

For now, the great act of Maduro’s peace dome was a demonstration on Wednesday (25) in Caracas, when figures of Chavism defended Iran and shouted slogans against Israel.

The president of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, an ally of Maduro, called for Netanyahu from the Israeli government.

“As long as Netanyahu leads this government, the threat to all humanity will remain. Enough of hypocrisy,” Chavista said.

Venezuela Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto participated in the demonstration and then commented on his account on Telegram.

“This initiative defends the denuclearization of Israel and the recognition of the rights of the Palestinian people to return and sovereignty,” he wrote. The act was maintained despite a ceasefire, in force since Tuesday (24), interrupted the conflict between Israel and Iran.

After the United States bombings to Iran’s nuclear facilities on Sunday (22), the dictatorship of Maduro described the offensive as “a criminal act that violated international law, the United Nations Letter and even ignored US laws, endangering life and peace.”

Chavismo relations with Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah, supported by Iran and Israel’s enemy, have been widely documented.

An Atlantic Council’s 2020 Think Tank report highlighted the ties of important Chavismo figures, such as former Venezuelan military counter-Lay chief Hugo Carvajal Barrios, with Hezbollah.

“Venezuela’s strategic location in South America and the Caribbean crossroads gives Iran and Hezbollah the ability to reduce its geographical disadvantage from the United States. To hide this relationship, [Hugo] Chavez and then the Maduro regime provided double identities from the Middle East, building a clandestine network that provides intelligence, training, money, weapons, supplies and know-how for Maduro and regimes and [do ex-ditador sírio Bashar al-]Assad, ”said the document.

The partnership of Chavismo with Hezbollah would extend to Colombian guerrillas involved in drug trafficking in the region, said the Atlantic Council.

However, there is also a great “direct” relationship of Caracas with Tehran, with the sending of weapons such as the Mohajer-6 drone, displayed by the Chavista dictatorship in military parades in Caracas.
