The NS-33 mission, that would take off this Saturday (21) carrying six spatial tourists from Blue Origin, was postponed due to climatic conditions in the launching location. According to the company, a new launch window will be evaluated.
“We are canceling the release of NS-33 today due to the strong and persistent winds at the launch site one. We are removing astronauts and we will evaluate our next release opportunity,” the company published on its social networks.
As the name suggests, this will be the 33rd official launch of the New Shepard rocket and the fourth manned this year. This count also includes shipping missions useful loads to the company’s rocket.

How are Blue Origin’s tourist flights?
Blue Origin tourist flights are subsued (do not reach sufficient speed to enter the orbit of the earth) and last approximately 11 minutes. The capsule separates from the rocket right after takeoff and crosses the Karm line, considered the space limit, 100 km in altitude. Then he returns in free fall and lands with the aid of parachutes in the desert.
For about four minutes, passengers experience the feeling of weight and spill the land from above. Many describe this experience as a transformative, providing a new perspective on the planet and its fragility in the universe.
