In a statement issued by the state press, according to the G1Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the war was “imposed on Iran for Israel’s adventurism” and celebrated the outcome as a national “great victory”.
The statement occurs a few hours after the beginning of a ceasefire negotiated by the United States with the support of Qatar, which came into force at 1 am (Brasília time). Despite the announcement, there are reports of occasional violations by both parties.

In a statement on Tuesday, Israel’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, confirmed the end of the offensive against Iran, but said the “campaign against Tehran is not over yet.” According to him, the immediate focus will be redirected to Gaza, where Israel has maintained an open war with Hamas since October 2023.
“Our focus now is to rescue the hostages in Gaza and dismantle the Hamas regime,” said Zamir.
