According to the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), Luciana Santos, the infrastructure will reduce the dependence on the routes controlled by Northern Global Nations. She also explained that the initiative is part of Brazil’s effort to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the bloc.

Brazil wants to encourage investments in the sector
