The traditional La Musique feet, celebrated on Saturday night (21) throughout France, was marked by a series of attacks with needles that left at least 145 people injured, according to the Interior Ministry. Police arrested 12 suspects, accused of involvement in the assaults, which spread throughout several French cities, including Paris, where 13 cases were reported.
The reports generated concern between authorities and participants. According to the French government, social media posts circulated days before encouraging attacks on syringes against women during the event. The origin and motivation of these messages are still under investigation.
Victims reported dizziness and malaise
At least three victims were hospitalized for toxicological examinations, and others reported symptoms such as dizziness and discomfort soon after bites. Among the cases registered in Paris are a 15 -year -old and a 18 -year -old, who described the aggressions in different parts of the city.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether substances such as GHB or Rohypnol – commonly associated with sexual crimes – were used. The Ministry of Interior stated that “it is still early to confirm the chemical nature of attacks,” but warned that investigations are underway and that suspects can respond for bodily injury, attempted rape and public safety attack.
Despite the incidents, the festival attracted millions of people across the country, especially in Paris, where crowds took the streets to the sound of DJs, amateur bands and international artists. More than 370 arrests and dozens of injuries
According to an official balance, La Musique’s feet ended with 375 arrests, about 90 in Paris alone. Occurrences include theft, vandalism, aggression and violence against public agents. The Interior Ministry also reported that 13 police officers were injured, plus 14 participants with serious injuries and over 1,400 with light injuries.
The Fire Department also registered 51 fires in vehicles and 39 in public areas, resulting from acts of vandalism or recklessness in the midst of agglomerations.
The French government has classified attacks with needles as “unacceptable” and promised to expand surveillance in major public events. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has stated that new measures will be adopted to prevent this type of crime, which had been reported on other occasions in recent years, but never on such a high scale.
