Decision to collect the product and suspend sales was adopted after a laboratory analysis
A decision of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) establishes the collection and suspension of sales of a lot of whey protein. The measure was adopted after a laboratory analysis.
The results of this work indicated the presence of gluten, with wheat detection, rye and also barley in the food supplement. However, none of these products are mentioned on the package label.
Anvisa identified the presence of misleading information
- The product in question is 100% Full Whey, from Fullife Nutrition.
- The suspension applies to lot 2408J5.
- Still according to ANVISA’s decisionthe presence of products not mentioned on the product label represents a violation, “bringing misleading information to the consumer.”
- The analysis of the food supplement was done by the Ezequiel Dias Foundation (FUNED/LACEN-MG).

Sale of cinnamon powder brand was also suspended
The National Health Surveillance Agency also determined the collection and suspension of lot 371lag2419 of the Kinino-brand cinnamon product. In this case, a laboratory analysis identified the presence of starch, which is not a characteristic component of cinnamon.
The product was also unsatisfactory in the evaluation of histological elements and in the research of strange macroscopic and microscopic materials. According to Anvisa, the identified parameters are not in accordance with the sanitary legislation.
The recommendation of the Brazilian health authority is that, in both cases, consumers who have already purchased the products do not use the lots mentioned. Remembering that their sale is now suspended indefinitely.
