The body of publicist Juliana Marins was lifted on Wednesday morning, as Muhammad Syafi’i, head of Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency (Badas), confirmed. The carioca was found dead on Tuesday on Mount Rinjani, on the island of Lombok, after falling into a bluff and stuck about 600 meters from the trail. On the slope, considered difficult to reach, the young woman was almost four days without water, food or shelter. The expectation now is that, after the autopsy held at Bhayangkara Hospital, the body of the Brazilian is brought back to the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, through the Embassy in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, informs that it provides consular assistance to family members.
Itamaraty adds that, in case of death of a Brazilian citizen abroad, embassies and consulates can provide guidance to family members, support their contacts with the local government and take care of the issuance of the necessary documents for the transfer of the body to Brazil.
