The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office on the morning of June 23 rescued a baby pig that had nearly been hit by several vehicles on Interstate 70 near NW US-75 highway, it said.
A sheriff’s office animal control officer was driving along I-70 when she almost hit the pig, Sheriff Brian C. Hill’s office said on its Facebook page.
The officer got out and rescued the pig from the middle of the freeway, the sheriff’s office said.

“The baby pig was almost hit several times,” said the sheriff’s office Facebook page “It appears the little baby fell out of the truck.”
It wasn’t immediately clear what would happen with the pig.
