Axiom Space Astronauts will fly on Spacex’s Falcon 9 rocket to the international space station next Wednesday (25)

THE Spacex released a New date for the launch of Axiom Space astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).
After postponements due to a leakage at ISSthe new private company should take off next Wednesday (25), at 3:31 am, directly from the 39A launch complex, at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Leak caused the postponement
Recently, COsmonauts identified a new pressure variation in the Russian module Zvezdalocated at the back of the ISS. This module has had leaks since 2019, but the recent change has generated additional concerns.
Since the first leakageZvezda has been monitored frequently through pressure tests and repaired with makeshift solutions-comparable to a “super resistant tape” in space.

The US space agency reported on June 14 that the pressure in the space station transfer tunnel is stable – which may be a sign that leaks were resolved.
What will the Axiom Space Ax-4 mission be?
A boarding a new Crew Dragon capsule from Spacex, which will take off aboard the Falcon 9 rocket, Axiom’s managing flight director and former NASA Astronaut, Peggy Whitson, will be the mission commander AX-4. The other three crew are:
- Shubhanshu shuklafrom India (pilot);
- SłAWOSZ UZNAńSKI-WIśNIEWSKIfrom Poland (mission specialist);
- Kapi Tiborfrom Hungary (mission specialist).
This will be the First time that astronauts from India, Poland and Hungary will visit ISS. The mission will also lead to the station more scientific experiments than any other axiom flight so far.
In all, they are More than 60 investigations and events of educational dissemination in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
