The truce announced a few hours ago by US President Donald Trump in the conflict between Israel and Iran had an unstable start. On Tuesday (24), Israel accused Iran of violating the ceasefire with a missile attack, which was intercepted by the army, according to local press.
Although the attack has not left victims so far, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to make new heavy attacks on the heart of Tehran “with the violation.
“In view of the complete violation of Iran of the ceasefire, declared by the US President (…), I ordered the FDI (Israeli Defense Forces), in coordination with the Prime Minister, who continue with intense attacking activity against Tehran to frustrate the targets of the regime and terrorist infrastructures,” the minister said in a statement.
According to Israeli defense, Iranian shots sounded alarms in the north of the country, shortly after the government of Benjamin Netanyahu announced the approval of the truce, saying that he achieved his war goals by removing a “existential threat” with the nuclear program and the ballistic missiles of Iran.
Although the sides have accepted a ceasefire, after 12 days of direct conflict, the army of Israel said it will maintain a “high level of warning” and respond to “any violation” of the ceasefire with Iran after reaching its military objectives in 12 days of offensive, according to statements by Israeli military spokesman, Effie Defie.
“The FDI (Israel Defense Forces) fully met all objectives defined (…). The Chief of Staff ordered the FDI to maintain a high level of alert and preparation for a forceful response to any violation of ceasefire,” Defrin said in a press release.
Tehran denied Israel’s accusation about the missile attack, replying that Tel Aviv would actually be violation of the truce less than half an hour after the deal came into force. “The Zionist aggressor regime attacked Iranian soil centers on three waves until 9am today (local time, 2:30 am Brasília),” said a spokesman for Unified Operations Command, Khatam Al-Anbiya, quoted by the News Agency Sprinkles.
The attack would have occurred after the start of the ceasefire announced by Trump: 7am in Israel and 7:30 am in Iran (1h from Brasilia).

Just before the ceasefire was announced, at least four people were killed in an Iranian missile attack on a residential building in Beer Sheva in Israel.
