Rio de Janeiro (Reuters) – The Pry Petroleira (Prio3) provides for production of more than 200 thousand barrels per day (BPD) next year, compared to 100,000 BPD last year, its president, Roberto Monteiro, said on Monday, in a celebration event for the 10th anniversary of the company.
The projection takes into account the advance of the development of the Wahoo Campo and the purchase of the pilgrim field, explained the executive.
Monteiro pointed out that the search for increased production of the company is based on the search for greater return.
“Our portfolio was designed and assembled thinking about efficiency,” he said, noting that a prio seeks to operate in the sea and with nearby fields, with synergies gains. In addition, the oil company operates its own platform ships.
The executive also said that the company observes the current geopolitics, with turbulent scenario, but that what dictates the company’s decisions is based on the efficiency and productivity of operations.
