According to the latest AIEA data, from 13 June, the three bombarded facilities housed nuclear material in the form of enriched uranium at different levels, which could generate radioactive and chemical contamination within the facilities themselves.
As already expressed on Friday to the United Nations Security Council, Grossi reiterated the appeal to the search for a diplomatic solution.
“I have declared on numerous occasions that nuclear facilities should never be attacked,” he said.
The director-general also insisted on the need to stop hostilities that allow the AIA to resume his inspections in Iran, including the verification of the highly enriched uranium inventory of the country.
