The government leader in the House, José Guimarães (PT-CE), argued that taxation of financial market securities can contribute to zeroing the queues of the Unified Health System (SUS).
According to him, in Brazil there is R $ 1.7 trillion in securities in the financial market that are exempt from tax.
“Imagine what could be collected to invest in health, education, scientific research, transportation and social programs. We need these taxes to zero the lines of SUS,” he published on social network X this Saturday, 21.
