Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned on Saturday that the United States entry into the war between Israel and the Islamic country would be “very dangerous to all.”
“Unfortunately, we heard that the United States could join this aggression (against Iran). This would be very unhappy and, I believe, very, very dangerous for everyone,” Araqchi told journalists in Istanbul, Turkey, where he participates in the 51st Organization for Islamic Cooperation.
He added that he came to the conclusion that the US had been aware of the Israeli attack since the beginning on June 13, just two days before the expected date of a round of negotiations about the Iranian nuclear program between Washington and Tehran.
“They denied, they say they were not aware, but we have a lot of evidence that they were aware of the beginning, and the US President’s posts and statements (Donald Trump) make it clear,” Araqchi said, according to the Turkish news agency “Anadoli”.
Abbas Araqchi assessed that Israel wanted to avoid with this attack a diplomatic agreement, but stressed that Iran remains “willing to a solution such as the 2015 negotiations” with the US, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany, the so -called P5+1 group.
The minister recalled that “everyone celebrated that agreement reached after two years of negotiations,” but was broken by the United States in 2018 during Donald Trump’s first presidential term.
“It is clear that while bombings against our people continue, I will not be able to go to negotiations,” said Araqchi, who also defended Iran’s “legitimate defense right to the Israeli attack.
