Title: A great way to add extra protein for healing
Review: I am very picky about protein supplements and high calorie liquids. They are gritty, have a nasty flavor or odor (even the so-called flavorless packets taste gross to me), or are way too thick and fill me up too much. But this unjury chicken broth is different. It’s easy to prepare and drink, it has a pleasant chicken broth flavor and scent, and it dissolves very well in water. The protein is of good quality and thus easily digested, so people like me who are recovering from a serious disease, can drink a cup of this chicken broth and not feel nauseated or overly full.I followed the instructions on the package and heated my water to exactly 140°F. The powder dissolved immediately and completely, with no grit left behind. I do prefer my hot foods slightly hotter than that, but the directions clearly stated that the liquid should not be any warmer than 140°F, so I set the temperature in my electric teapot and didn’t have to worry about it. It just meant I had to drink it all quickly and not just sip on it over time like I’d prefer. It is a little annoying, but not the end of the world. The only negative is I did not get a scoop to measure out the powder like the packaging said. I use a kitchen scale to weigh out the powder, so it’s just one extra step. When I’ve used the product for awhile longer, I assume I’ll get good enough at estimating the amount of powder needed. I highly recommend this product for anyone who eats meat and needs extra protein for wound healing and overall recovery.

Title: Salt Lick City
Review: This product was a mega disappointment. I bought this because I was having bariatric surgery, so I figured this was an easy way to get in protein. I literally had one spoonful of this broth and couldn’t handle anymore. It was the saltiest thing I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even return it because it’s a food product, which is a bummer. I threw the whole thing away.

Title: TASTES LIKE CUP OF SOUP
Review: Wow! This is delicious protein powder, if you like the taste of cup of soup, by Lipton. I happen to LOVE it. The way to use this is to heat up a cup of bone broth, and combine the protein powder in a separate cup with room temperature water. Then stir the protein powder mixture into the heated broth, stirring the entire time. You can add Kaizen protein pasta or even some canned chicken if desired. Tastes like cup of soup, which is delicious if you like that.

Title: Long time fan but my latest purchase tastes like chemicals.
Review: Full disclosure: I’m not a gastric patient. Several years ago, I found Unjury through a few relatives who are, though, and they raved about their chicken soup flavor. Life sometimes gets really busy for me and I need something super quick for added protein. I’m not a fan of sweet protein shakes, so this was the perfect option for me. I ran out of it a few days ago, so I hopped on Amazon last night to reorder and it arrived today (shout out for lighting speed delivery on this!). However, I just made a serving from my brand new container and it distinctly has the taste of…chemicals. There’s no other way to describe it. Mind you, the chemical-y taste is accompanied by the normal flavor of the chicken soup that I expected, but it’s not the kind of bonus I was anticipating. No one welcomes a background flavor profile of the chemical variety. Did they change their recipe? The taste is so remarkably different from my last container (all chicken soup, no chemmies) that I had to come here and give a heads up so people are aware that something is kind of funky in at least one batch of chicken soup.I’m really disappointed as this doesn’t appear to be an item that can be returned. I can’t see myself being able to drink this because of the weird new taste, and at $30 a container, it’s far too pricey to purchase and then not be able to use. This was a deliciously fast way to get extra protein into my diet, but I wouldn’t recommend this until this weird taste issue is worked out.(Also, you definitely need to keep the temp of whatever you’re adding this to under 140 degrees F. or clotting will occur. This wasn’t a big deal for me as 140 is still pleasantly warm enough to enjoy, but I wouldn’t let it sit for long as it cools quickly after that).

Title: Taste good
Review: Taste good! My only complaint is that it has to be mixed with lukewarm water , if the water is too hot it is undrinkable. It is too costly in my opinion

Title: Who spilled the salt shaker?
Review: The savory flavor was good, but the saltiness was overwhelming. And do not put it in a liquid in the microwave. The protein turns into gritty, tiny pellets. The directions say mix with liquid no hotter than 140°F and they mean it.
