An operation of National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) held on June 17 seized more than 2,300 irregular products, including TV boxes, cell phones, batteries and drones from China. The agency estimated the total value of the items seized by about R $ 110 thousand.
In addition to products without Anatel’s approval, some devices had the counterfeit security seal.
Anatel seizes more than 2,000 products in a new operation
Anatel published This Wednesday (25) about an operation carried out last week, on June 17, as part of the Piracy Action Plan (PACP). The action was conducted by the Superintendence of Inspection (SFI), through the Anatel Operational Unit in Espírito Santo.
The operation took place in a wholesale store in the city of Vitória, which sold pirate products from China.
According to the agency’s statement, there were 2,386 confiscated irregular products, including tv boxes, cell phones, cell phone batteries, porters, drones, wireless cameras and transceptors radios. The items were estimated at $ 110,000 in total.
Pirate products had counterfeit seal
Pirate appliances are those who have not been approved by Anatel, who attests that telecommunications equipment is safe and meet the quality standards of Brazil. THE Digital Look Already explained how this approval works here.
